Excellent example of high medieval defence architecture in Kärnten.
From what was a former castle, only parts of a wall have been preserved which are supposed to have belonged to a tower constructed at the beginning 12th century. An original air shaft will be reconstructed in the course of the restoration works.

Ruin "Ehrenberger Klause"

The "Ehrenberger Klause" is part of the spacious fortification and dates back to the 15th century. Nowadays, the main part is a ruin due to demolition and decay. Structural investigation and mapping out of the wall and other remarkable architectural details in order to make out a concept of restoration with suggestions for reconstruction /new interpretation of the architectural elements.
